On Tuesday 23rd October, 2007, in contribution to BEBA's efforts to update our members with all the significant and successful business models in Egypt and subsequently promote real investment, BEBA organized a special field trip to the Suez Canal Container Terminal Port (SCCT). Our members were well received by the Managing director of the company and they were taken on tour to learn about the operation system of the Terminal. On the 29th of October 2007, at the Nile Hilton’s Al Gawhara Hall, BEBA hosted its first “Breakfast on the Nile”. The new series of breakfast on the Nile aims to host prominent guest speakers including Ambassadors, key business people and high profile government officials. The series of breakfast events will keep our members updated with the opportunities for expanding business activities. In our first Breakfast on the Nile event, we invited H.E the Ambassador of South Africa Sonto Gladys Kudjoe, to give a presentation entitled “South Africa Alive with Possibilities”. The event was aimed at introducing the opportunities of increasing the bilateral relations between Egypt and South Africa and also highlighting the synergy that can be formed between both counties and the UK. Our plan for this season is to host one breakfast event, one field trip visit and one Dinner event. On November 5 2007, we are hosted our Second Breakfast on the Nile event with Dr. Klaus Ebermann, EU Ambassador. His Excellency spoke about the role of Entrepreneurship and Corporate social responsibility in helping the Association Agreement and the Neighborhood Policy coming alive to Egypt's population. This month’s field trip visit will take place on November the 14th to Nestle Factories. You will have the opportunity to hear the success story of this big corporation in Egypt as well as its history. On November the 20th, we are inviting you for a Dinner with H. E. Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin Minister of Investment, to talk about the latest development in the area of investment and the significance of the British Contribution to FDI in Egypt. I hope you are enjoying our events and I would like to invite you to pass any suggestions you have to Eng. Laila El Maghraby, BEBA Executive Director via e-mail. |
