Message from the Chairman

Soon after this event, on the 9^th of June, BEBA’s third annual Gala Dinner took place at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza, carrying the theme “Egypt…Your Destination”. It gave an opportunity to demonstrate our intention of making Egypt a destination for all purposes; touristic, economic and residential. The night also included an entertainment part for our guests and a performance by the famous Lebanese Singer, Nancy Agram.

 

Furthermore, I am pleased to inform you that the Minister of Tourism has approved BEBA Hotels and Tourism Committee’s suggestion of forming a joint committee that should start functioning soon. We at the BEBA are hoping that this committee will result in linking all parties that are concerned about improving the tourism sector in Egypt, and promoting Egypt as an ultimate tourism destination.

 

I would like to take this opportunity to announce an upcoming field visit to one of the largest exporters of ready made garments in Egypt, Delta Textile factory which is going to take place on July the 9th.I would also like to highlight the Board of Directors meeting which will be taking place on the 11^th of July at the Nile Hilton. The board will mainly discuss the financial results of the first five months of the annual budget for 2007.

BEBA has been very active in June. On the 4^th of June, BEBA hosted a lunch with Mr. Nikesh Arora, Google President of EMEA Operations, at the Alf Lela we Leila Hall at the Nile Hilton. Mr. Arora delivered a very informative speech about the opportunities which the internet is providing for both the consumer and business society. The event illustrated BEBA’s keenness on providing our business community with new opportunities whether for establishing or expanding a business.
