Message from the Chairman

From all of us at BEBA, we wish you a happy Islamic New Year. We join you in looking forward to a new year full of peace and blessings.

 

We have been busy throughout the month of January, hosting workshops on reforms in copyright law and the new tax law, as well as a grand business luncheon on the topic of financial reform with Lord Mayor of the City of London David Brewer. His visit is one of many recent visits to Egypt by prominent British businessmen and officials, making clear an increasing British interest in investment and showing the positive results of recent reforms that Egypt has taken. Our partners in the UK, the EBCC, have also just celebrated their 25th anniversary in Sharm el-Sheikh, a glorious conference full of networking opportunities, both informally and through formal business sessions and arranged 1:1 meetings, complete with a Gala Night Dinner and featuring Egyptian Minister of Tourism H.E. Mr. Mohamed Zohair Mohamed Wahid Garana.

 

Throughout February and March, we are continuing to host events relevant to the business community. We are very excited about our business lunch with Minister of Welfare H.E. Dr. Aly El Meselhy, our business lecture with Mr. Hany Sarei El Din, Chairman of the Capital Market Authority, and our visit to Unilever’s production facilities. It is impressive to see such success and vision from both the public and private sectors.

 

We look forward to seeing you at our next event. May we continue to work together to promote greater trade between our two countries, and to make our countries more prosperous than ever.
